I've been busy with other things, but finally I am downloading Pardus 2009. I installed aria2 download manager, as I've heard good things about its capabilities compared to other download managers in that it works differently.
The link above didn't work for me, but going here
http://www.pardus.org.tr/eng/download/ and copying and pasting in terminal>aria2c (link) is working.
Thirty-eight hours to go.
Edited to add that oops, your link does work after getting the correct file in the link. About a day to do...
