Hi all,
I would like to help give more information (maybe I give too much

) concerning my problem with the latest kernel upgrade and nouveau xorg module problem so I can give dmesg output to debugging team. Right now, when I boot into new kernel, when it gets to blank screen with blinking cursor I can hit Alt+F2 and get to a console to login. I can enter "dmesg" and it gives output, but I don't know how to copy and save it as a file to my home folder, such as my desktop.
I did some searching, and it is said that you use Ctrl + Insert to copy and Shift + Insert to paste, but no mention on where this is being pasted to, such as kwrite. If you are wondering why I would want to save it to desktop, it is because I can later boot into the latest kernel and it brings me to login screen. I do this by booting into default kernel, kdesu kwrite to /boot/grub/menu.lst and edit it, adding "nouveau.modeset=1" to boot splash line. Graphics is distorted prior to log in screen, but I eventually get to the normal log in screen. Then I can see my saved console output and go online and share it. Does this make sense?
