I've seen plenty of updated packages for Pardus 2009 show up in the repository since I installed it, including a new kernel and modules.  I'm surprised that Firefox 3.5.2 isn't available yet.  It closed four known security vulnerabilities, two Mozilla defined as "critical".  See: http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox35.html.

Is is normal for security updates to be slow with Pardus?

Compared with other Linux Distris work the Pardus developers fast and efficiently. You should still wait from there a few days or install FF 3.5.2 from here

And please note this:

The new package must be build an tested and that can take some days. Wink

Hi, Bubbel,

Thanks for the quick response.  I appreciate the work involved in maintaining and building packages.  I've done it for another distro Smiley

Actually, all the other distros I have running already have updated Firefox packages.  Pardus did put out a number of updates very quickly but on this one you are behind most distributions.  I wanted to ask because my review for DistroWatch is going to press and I wanted to be as fair as I could in describing the update process.  (Yes, I'm that Caitlyn.)

I will check the test repo and try testing yours when it becomes available.

Thanks again for responding so quickly.

Regards,
Cait

Thanks.
Before installing firefox-3.5.2-116-15.pisi I had to install xulrunner-1.9.1.2-21-13.pisi first.  Smiley

Thanks guys. I'm alternating between  Namoroka and Opera right now, but it's nice to have any and all security flaws patched Smiley

I had the same experience as atolboo.  Once I had xulrunner installed then installing the firefox package was no problem.  It has been working perfectly for me.
