[SOLVED]Pardus 2009 with LXDE

I have been working on LXDE today as you can see >HERE<
It's in Dutch, so it will be difficult for you to read.
The first problem was with the different (new) naming of some of the packages.
But that was solved quickly.
The only problem remaining was installing lxpanel.
I could only solve this by downloading menu-cache manually in FF or Opera.
And after the download installing it.
After this I could use " pisi it lxpanel".
I will retest this again tomorrow and come back on this one.

I want to say why there is a problem.

I've renamed the package menu-cache to lxmenu-cache, bu I've forgotten to change file dependencies. Later, I fixed this problem and the time problem.

If you have menu-cache, just remove it and then install lxmenu-cache. That's all.

After some testing with the help of Clonezilla I can confirm that the problems have been SOLVED.

New file is lxde-icon-theme.

I have tested LXDE with a new installation and it FAILED.
After the restart I get the login screen and LXDE will not start (and this is repeated).
I can start KDE if selected.
Tested twice with the same result.

Ok! I see the problem is from new version of lxsession.

LXDE will start now but I don't have a mouse pointer.
The mouse pointer is invisible. At right-click I get a menu on the desktop.
Maybe this has to do with the new

Could you uninstall lxde-icon-theme and reinstall lxde-common? If situation backs to normal, I've to delete lxde-icon-theme.

I just re-tested this installation of LXDE.
I have a Clonezilla-image of the KDE version.
And now everything is OKE 
So I can't reproduce this one and consider this as a broken bit situation.

I was wondering how LXDE desktop could be used next to KDE4 default desktop following a fresh Pardus 2011 installation.

In Package Manager I selected all files from LXDE however there is one conflict:

when you try to install the pardus-default-settings-lxde PISI package a popup window appears telling me that this package conflicts with the standard pardus-default-settings package that is already there and it asks whether to uninstall this conflicting package?

I was afraid to damage my KDE4 desktop so I declined. When firing up a LXDE session there are no start menu and so on visible, probably because the pardus-default-settings-lxde PISI was not installed.

Can anyone clear this issue up for me?

and you can always restore the previous situation
