Hello everybody,

installed PARDUS 2009 a week ago and so far it is a great operating system to work with. Everything goes well. Localized the system to my nativ German language, exept for the THUNDERBIRD mail programm, which I can start only in English. :'(

How can I switch it to German ? Heard, that some parts of the GNOME desktop environment are needed !?

Who can help me ? Greatful for any assistance.

you can download the german version:

Because of the beta, there is no pisi package for the german language.

I don't have thunderbird installed so I don't know if the following how to will work in Pardus environment.   This is dated / old how to for install language packages.

Read the Installable Language pack link.

P.S.  I see mdiegi has posted a help that looks to be more recent.  Cheers!
