It is quite hard to get the real news, even when searching the turkish sites.

As far as I can extract info from my searches Pardus was again an eye-catching part at the Eurasaia CEBIT 2009. The people have been very busy answering all kinds of questions, and the pictures speak for themselves, no lack of public showing interest in Pardus.

What I understand they (Pardus developers) showed up with three variants:
1. A Pardus 2009 CEBIT special edition targeted for netbooks.
2. A new Pardus Corporate package; one focuses now also on companies and institutional users like governments/universities etctera etctera and their special needs with terminals, thin clients and so on. This comes on a single DVD.
3. An alpha version of 2009.1, as far as I understand they did not make it to get it fully ready for this exhibition (I guess otherwise 2009.1 would also have been announced on their website and announce mailinglist already), and they decided to burn an ISO that was as up-to-date as they could get it and present it as a sort of preview 2009.1. From the forum messages translated by Google Translate I got that 2009.1 however is expected within a month (perhaps within Octoebr). So just stay tuned....will not take too long anymore.

crowdy enough...  Cheesy

Thanks, I looking forward to the new 2009.1 Smiley I hade some problems with the early 2009 version.
But most seems to be solved now with the updates.

today I asked in the pardus-devel-mailinglist about Pardus 2009.1

Here my question and the answer of one of the developer: Wink

We are trying to smash some regressions with KDE etc. and make some new
features ready, that is why we need more time. New installation of KDE is ok
for example, but update from 4.2 to 4.3 caused us troubles.

We will be able to define dates soon, and announce, stay tuned Smiley

So it is Wink and all KDE4.3-packages are available in the Test-Repo
