unetbootin didn't work either. I got the following error: mount: mounting /dev.ramo0 on /newroot failed: No such device switch_root: bad newroot /newroot followed by a kernel panic. This is probably caused by not applying " Making the required change" from this Wiki manual. And as an extra hint

I have a new HP Mini 110 with a 16GB SSD in lieu of a hard drive. The installer hangs at:
*Populating /dev
I've done some digging and the problem does seem to be how Pardus tries to recognize/access the SSD. (The HP Mini 110 with a standard hard drive works for other people.) Ubuntu 8.04 with the HP Mi desktop is the preloaded OS and the SSD partitions are recognized as /dev/sda1, /dev/sda2 (swap), /dev/sda3 (recovery).
I've had other distros not work (Zenwalk, Parted Magic) but Debris Linux (based on Ubuntu) had no problem. I was able to use gparted to create an additional partition (/dev/sda5) for Pardus.
Hi, I've a HP mini 110 netbook. Here's how I started the installer: just type ssb.blacklist=1 and press enter in boot screen. I had written a Turkish tutorial here: http://tr.pardus-wiki.org/Donanım:HP_Compaq_Mini_110

......... I did make that change and checked it twice. No joy.
To make sure you have the right changes: When I start from USB, I get a screen with Default pardus rescue memtest hardware
and after going (with arrow key) to "pardus" and activating the Tab key I get > /bootkernel initrd=/boot/initrd root=/dev/ram0 splash=silent quiet mudur=language:en,livedisk_
and I can start with the Enter key. This is as far as I can go. I have added an EN_link to the Wiki.

Thanks, jnmbk! That did it. I was able to successfully install from CD. One minor note which you may want to add to your wiki page: After giving ssb.blacklist=1 as a boot option I received the error Unknown boot option `ssb.blacklist=1' : Ignoring It obviously did know what to do with the option and didn't ignore it because this solved my problem. I get the same error each time I boot up. Not a problem, just a minor annoyance. Again, thanks to jnmbk and also to atolboo for trying to help. -Cait
