Hello,

At my home University the wireless internet connection  needs a username and a password. To do this you have to use Dynamic WEP 802.1x function in the network manager of Pardus.

But when I choose Dynamic WEP 802.1x, and choose settings the window is empty. Thus I cannot place my username and password.

Do I need to install a package?

Hello Ronald,

can you please post a screenshot of the empty window and it seem it is perhaps a Bug. Wink

Greetings
Andreas

Ok, sorry Andreas it is no bug.  Sad

When you maximize the window you get the settings..  Embarrassed

BUT, it is still not working. The settings for the network manager of Ubuntu are these:

http://www.snt.utwente.nl/handleidingen/1/44    (for english click on the english flag)

I have dowloaded the GTE_CyberTrust_Global_Root.pem certificate, because it was not standard in Pardus-Linux.

Do I need to upgrade the network manager of Pardus-Linux with the network manager of Kubuntu??

Hello Ronald,

I modified the Bug

How do you want to upgrade the network manager of Pardus with the network manager of kubuntu?

Unfortunately, I do not understand. Huh?

Greetings
Andreas

Did you have installed the package wireless-tools ?

Perhaps that can be the problem.

If a newer version of network manager is available you will see it in the package-manager for upgrading-packages. Wink
