Hi everybody,
I've installed Checkgmail in Pardus 2009.1 from one of the repositories.
After installation I run
Code:
checkgmail -update
to prevent login error (known issue) and the program worked well.
After rebooting Checkgmail is still working but missing some features  Sad: when you receive a new message there's only the Open option. Mark as read, Archive or Mark all as read options are missing.
Does anybody have the same problem?  Huh?
Thank you

Michele

Thanks and greetings
Andreas

Hello Michele,

here the answer of the developer Serdar:

Code:
------ Comment #2 From Serdar Dalgıç 2010-02-03 13:26:40 (-) [reply] -------
The screenshot is from the web page if I'm not mistaken, right?

Can you ask the user to try checkgmail in different distros if s/he has the
chance to try? I don't know whether the situation is same for other distros or
not.

checkgmail is not developed for two years and current code is patched just to
get it work.

Anyway, for improvement suggestions, it is better to contact with checkgmail
developers (if they still exist :) They do not respond to neither mailing list
nor any other ways of contact.)

Marking the bug as INVALID, 'cause we have nothing to do in that case and
improvement suggestion is not related to Pardus but checkgmail project

Greetings
Andreas

Yes, the screenshot is taken from the official webpage, but I have tried Checkgmail also on Debian, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, with Gnome and KDE, and it functions properly.
Anyway, it's a pity that Checkgmail project is not developed anymore.  :'(
It's really the best checker for Gmail  Smiley because you can do a lot of actions without entering in your gmail account.

I have set-up my Gmail account in KMail according to this >Use Gmail in KMail< Wiki.
And so I can do all my stuff in KMail.
And use GKrellM to signal the presence of new mail.
