atolboo, wondering if it makes a difference what one has under System Settings>Advanced>Audio CDs>the setting that is ticked, Specify CD Device: /dev/cdrom, which is the default.

Hi atolboo,

Well, your output is same as mine, as in the part I thought would be a clue, "not found" part.

I've been working on this and finally had success.  Firstly, I tried different device settings for Audio CDs, unticking Specify Device, or entering /dev/sr0, or /dev/dvdrw, rebooting each time to test, but no go there.  What did give me success was starting up k3b, dragging the files I wanted to burn for the data project, which brings up the Data Project window, then click on the tab, Misc, and under Multisession Mode, I changed Auto to No Multisession, and that worked.  K3b asks if you want to use default settings, saved settings or last used settings, and I have it set on default (Default Action Dialog Settings: Default).  I assume you are able to leave it on Auto and get a successful overwrite?

Here's the debugging output of a successful write over a disk that contained a full featured video:

Now I have k3b to consistently write over disks that already contain data.  After clicking Burn, which brings up Data Project window, and selecting Misc tab, change mutlisession mode from Auto to No Multisession, then in lower left-hand corner of window, click on the Save icon (hover over it, it says, "Save current settings to reuse them later".  I also changed Settings>Misc>Default Action Settings: Saved Settings, though I'm not sure if this part is really  necessary, as says it is for the GUI.
Now each time I start a new data project, it brings up the settings I saved, such as 'no multisession' and behaves as I want it to.
I now am curious what 'Auto' signifies under Multisession?
Lisa Marie
Edited to add, that I found the answer here:
http://k3b.plainblack.com/support/k3b-0.12-new-features
I guess it is good that k3b doesn't automatically overwrite a disk.  When I used Apple's OS X Tiger, I never could figure out how to append to a partially filled disk.

I suspect that "Auto"will do the following. (I haven't tested this)
When there is enough space left on the CD/DVD, it will append the date to the already available date on the disk.
And when there is not enough space left, it will overwrite the CD/DVD.(and maybe asking conformation before doing this)

A good feature, too, now that I understand it.  I've unticked, "Automatically erase...." and this way, K3B will pop up a message that there is data on the disk, and do I want to write over it.

So now I know K3B can write over partial and full disks.  I assumed this burner was like others I have used, that for appending  or adding data to a partial disk needed to be set up first under settings, but with K3B, this is default action.  Most people use burners with new empty disks, so they never encounter this.  Now I know.
Again, thanks for the feedback atolboo,  and if you had not said, that it worked fine in your system, I would have never bothered to try and figure this out.   Smiley

“I didn’t even know there was an organization that did this,” she said, twirling in front of a mirror as she gazed at her reflection and ran her hand over the delicate folds of fabric that transform her into a bride. “It feels like a princess.”
Listening to Pepper Periquet Guanio talk about flowy wedding dresses made me want to purchase one even if I wasn’t a bride-to-be in search of one. Her passion for bridal gowns is infectious and she has a mission to find the ideal wedding gown for every woman about to marry; she believes, just like the groom, that there is the perfect wedding gown to match each and every bride.

She and her team still have to deal from time to time with traditional and conservative mindsets that have come to represent most Filipino weddings. Some brides come looking for packages that include the cinderella wedding dresses 2011 of the entourage, thinking that this is how things must be done. They are also under the impression that it is a less expensive option to purchase gowns separately. But when Pepper sits down with them and suggests that they break down the cost, they realize that the bulk of the package price often goes to the entourage and not to the bride’s gown. When they learn this, they become more receptive to Mi Sueño’s approach. Some brides also find it less intimidating to go to bridal boutiques than to well-known designers because they are free to browse through the available choices and ask questions comfortably. Besides, how many women have easy access to local fashion designers?

It seems like impending motherhood has softened Beyonce's stance toward letting us in on her personal life. She hasn't kept her pregnancy a secret — and it seems like every person in her life has something to say about the maybe-baby girl.

We're getting even more in her new video for "I Was Here" — her mermaid wedding dresses! Beyonce shows off the one-shoulder wedding dresses she wore when she married Jay-Z nearly three years ago in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it clip. The emotional song captures Queen B’s life since she started performing as a pre-teen.

"I wanna say I lived each day until I die," she sings in the song. It looks like she has, judging from the countless photos and video of her with everyone from South African leader Nelson Mandela to Michael Jackson and Barack Obama.

But back to the halter wedding dresses. The white strapless gown is pretty much exactly what we envisioned the pop princess wearing on her big day. She looked just as happy as we imagined, though.

Beyonce has featured Bridal Gowns a lot lately in her music videos. She played the part of a happy bride in the video for her recent song, "Best Thing I Never Had." She told Access Hollywood at the time that her own wedding was a lot less stressful than filming the fake one for the cameras.

"This may have been a little more crazy. I had to sing at the same time," she joked to the entertainment program.
