John Young a tireless crusader for public display of doccuments that the government and companys would rather the public never see has had a website www.cryptome.org removed from the internet. The website infamous for hosting all manner of internal publications that provide proof of co-operation with law enforcement by all the major internet portals and the prices that they charge for providing access to users emails phones and computers. Skype, AOL, Yahoo, Microsoft and others including Telecoms providers.

Cryptome hosted the Microsoft file COFFEE Computerized Online Forensic Evidence Program a MS suite designed to collect information from any computer using microsoft products.
Collecting passwords and defeating user installed protection.
Within days of Cryptomes release the Geek community released a patch to defeat the program.

Young is fighting the takedown notice on the grounds that the company is mis using the DMCA Digital Millenium Copywright Act. As of today CRYPTOME.ORG is down.

Heres the temporary site address for you to visit http://cryptomeorg.siteprotect.net/
