I cannot get the gecko mediaplayer to show fullscreen in firefox.
For example here: http://nos.nl/nieuws/live/journaal24/wmv/

When I close the firefox session, mplayer often continues to run. Firefox is closed, but I can hear the sound and have to kill mplayer manually.

Suggestions?

Hello,

did you configurate the Gecko-Media-Player?

Right click on the Video and there you find all possibilitys to configurate it.

I can see the Video in Full-Screen by using Opera and FF too.  Wink

Greetings
Andreas

I tried. A selection window opens, but I cannot change the settings..................
Looks like mplayer is messed up. A reinstallation (and removing the .mplayer directory) does not solve the issue.

This is a mistery for me as I have the same problem as Archdevil.
And the only way to stop the video is by disconnecting from the internet in Network Manager.

@Andreas
Which version of
Code:
LC_ALL=C pisi info gecko-mediaplayer
LC_ALL=C pisi info gnome-mplayer
LC_ALL=C pisi info mplayer
do you use?

My results are:
Quote
Name: gecko-mediaplayer, version: 0.9.9.2, release: 25, build 17
Name: gnome-mplayer, version: 0.9.9.2, release: 31, build 20
Name: mplayer, version: 0.0_20100302, release: 124, build 21

Thank you and I guess you got
Quote
Name: gecko-mediaplayer, version: 0.9.9.2, release: 26, build 18
from http://packages.pardus.org.tr/pardus-2009-test/  as  gecko-mediaplayer-0.9.9.2-26-18.pisi ?
This means there is probably an updated in the pipeline

Yes, so it is.  Wink

The only issue I have is, that I must double-click the mouse sometimes on the video in order to adjust the player-settings to see.

After it I can see the Video in full-screen.  Wink

Thank you and this means you have http://packages.pardus.org.tr/pardus-2009-test/ activated in Package Manager?
And have the upcoming FF 3.6 ( with xulrunner-1.9.2) and etc. etc..........
