No full-screen with gecko mediaplayer in firefox

I cannot get the gecko mediaplayer to show fullscreen in firefox.
For example here: http://nos.nl/nieuws/live/journaal24/wmv/

When I close the firefox session, mplayer often continues to run. Firefox is closed, but I can hear the sound and have to kill mplayer manually.

Suggestions?

did you configurate the Gecko-Media-Player?

Right click on the Video and there you find all possibilitys to configurate it.

I can see the Video in Full-Screen by using Opera and FF too.

I tried. A selection window opens, but I cannot change the settings..................
Looks like mplayer is messed up. A reinstallation (and removing the .mplayer directory) does not solve the issue.

I can see the Video in Full-Screen by using Opera and FF too.  

This is a mistery for me as I have the same problem as Archdevil.
And the only way to stop the video is by disconnecting from the internet in Network Manager.

Yes, so it is. 

The only issue I have is, that I must double-click the mouse sometimes on the video in order to adjust the player-settings to see.

After it I can see the Video in full-screen.
