Hi,
I always had some problems with the my wifi chipset (RTL8187SE) and internet. At home, I resolved it by buying a new router (Netgear WGR614L, see my other post). But there are some places where I can't connect as for instance my university, and that bothers me when I really need to connect.
I dont know exactly where the problem is coming from, but I am pretty sure it has something to do with my wifi card. At my university, after a very long time (2minutes) it says its succesful connected, but there is no way of surfing, it's not connected at all. Something else I don't understand is that there are 3 different public wifi networks on my university and they got all the same problem.
I am not expecting so much actually, and I know it probably has nothing to do with pardus. I just wanted to know if somebody could explain me why connection doesn't work with some routers when with other it does. Or maybe it doesnt when there are a lot of people connected on the router? Does anybody know if these chipsets are beter supported in next kernel versions?
Thanks a lot.
