Playing only audio not video

Dear pardus users.

i installed pardus 2009.1 in my HP dv4 laptop.
i am facing some problems with that like video files are not playing(only audio coming from MPlayer,Dragon Player and GNOMEPlayer)..but audio files are playing nicely..
what should i do?

and another one is..
my WiFi is WPA2 protected...i cerated a profile in network manager(but i am not sure WPA2 is there or not)..network manager is showing that it is connected to wifi and firefox is not able to connect to Internet also PiSi too.


i am eager to know the facts and solutions...pls reply soon..

Hello abbiya and welcome,

please install VLC-Player and try to play Video-files. I think that VLC will do it.

I agree, VLC is a wonderful player for all sorts of different formats.

1. Find your pisi package manager.
2. Navigate to new packages.
3. Enter   vlc    in the search bar.
4. Select  vlc    package and install.

If these video files came from a windows ntf partition then they could be compressed  
If thats the case, copy your files using a command console in su mode.

About wifi connection:
You'll need to give us better description of the problem.

Open connection manager and select   "edit connection".
You'll need to match your wireless network information from your router to Pardus connection manger.

my wifi is WPA2 enterprise with AES and TKIP protected..
in windows 7 i use username and password to connect to it.
i cant see an option in network manager to give such settings..
help me.
