Hi everybody!

New Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04 is here. Has anyone tested it?
I am of course a big fan of Pardus and KDE, but I think it's good to know what's happening around us Smiley
For instance something I noticed in a friend laptop running the previous ubuntu was the really good bootin time.

Have a nice day!

Yes I have tested it works very fine. Newest version of aMSN, Open Office etc..
Even the ATI drivers seems to work now, it was problem with them in the earlier versions.
Nice new design also.
So they did a good job. But I guess thoose who like KDE still prefer Mandriva or Pardus.

I looking forward for the new versions of them to (Pardus 2009.2)  to give Ubuntu a match. Smiley

I keep it on my laptop, but the upgrade from karmic koala to lucid lynx fails.

It are not realy so big different between Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04. Buttons are on left side and the design/colour are different to.
But if you have use it for a while most things are similar to the old one.
I think you must wait to Gnome 3.0 will be introduced for some real changes.

KDE 4 is still ahead in lot of things.

One thing no-one seems to have commented on yet: The boot screen colour is getting close to the Pardus colour!

Actually the new (K)ubuntu boot screen lacks a proper progress monitor unlike the old one, the Pardus screen and many others.

Haven't tried it yet, but I plan to install it within the next month or two.  My last Ubuntu installation was Hardy.  When it comes to Ubuntu and Linux Mint, I've only been installing the LTS versions, and skipping everything in between.  Looking forward to trying it -- should be interesting.
