Internet Sharing

Hello,

I have a PC and a laptop. I have a network connection to the PC. But i want the internet to be shared with the Laptop too,
I did the set up through firewall setting, which now shows the
"Internet Sharing" profile under Network Manager.

It has configured address and a network mask.

Now what are the step to configure the Laptop.

I think you could use a similar method to connect your laptop through your computer,  provided that your computer has two network cards.  Good luck.  Post again if you have any questions.

I still does not work.
The following are my settings:

I have 2 ethernet cards on my PC
------------------------------------------------------
eth1 (Connects to Internet)
              Ip1, netmask1, gateway1, nameserver1
eth0 (internet sharing profile)
              ip2, netmask2=netmask1, gateway2 = Ip1, nameserver2=nameserver1

Now on my laptop
-----------------------------
eth0
              ip3, netmask3=netmask1, gateway3=Ip2, nameserver3=blank

And also the Nameserver List for all the connections have the same set of IP's.

Both the machines are on. On the Laptop, inside the browser I type www.google.com and it says
Looking up www.google.com

What can be the problem now.

On your laptop,  the nameserver ip's should match both eth0 and eth1 of your desktop.  Also,  the order that you connect the two ethernet profiles on your desktop might make a difference.  On the xbox game that I set up,  I had to enable the "internet sharing" profile in the network manager first by clicking the checkbox,  then the connection that gets the desktop online (eth1,  I think you said in your post).
