Hi all,
As some of you have read, for the past 3 yearsI have had problems printing out the flash format Los Angeles Times Sunday crossword puzzle in any distro using KDE desktop, with only slight improvements along that time period using Linux CUPS+gutenrprint drivers in printer configuration (all other printing worked fine, such as PDFs, html pages, etc.) Using the recommended CUPS+gutenprint v5.2.5 for the ip3000, the puzzle prints with missing dots of ink.
After reading
using BJC-7004 driver I changed to this driver and now the printer prints the puzzle perfectly, even better than when using any ubuntu-based distro, which at least printed the puzzle in a readable form, but was off centered. Now the puzzle is as perfect as quality in Windows or using Turboprint.
