I have a Logitech C300 webcam. I am not able to get the microphone in it to work with Pardus 2009.2 if using aMSN.
No problem with the pictures.

I have tested the cam in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and there it works with the mic to.
It got same aMSN version as Pardus 2009.2 to (0.98.3)

The C300 webcams are supposed to work with Linux "out of the box" to:

Is it some KDE 4.4 related problem or some kind of program, dependies who is missing in Pardus?

Have you got the correct mixer settings for the microphone?

It are 3 options there.
Default, plughw:0 and plughw:1 as in this screenshot:

I have tryed all of them but no result. Anyway I think best was to write a bug report so the developers can look at it:

If I use ubuntu 10.04 the mic works in default setting.

I can add that PCLinuxOS 2010.1 have the same problems with same aMSN (0.98.3) version. I have just tested it.
Picture and sound works, but not the microphone. It have also KDE4.4 so its similar to Pardus.
So it seems to work in Gnome but not in the KDE desktop.

I was thinking of the system mixer settings, alsamixer or PulseAudio.

It are a mixer option in aMSN settings but it make no difference how to change there.
(If change there in PCLinuxOS aMSN krasces and stop working)

I have solved the problem to use Ubuntu in the PC with the webcam.
In the other PC with no cam I still using Pardus.

I guess its best if more people try the mic/webcam in Pardus in aMSN and see how it works.

It seems that the Logitech C200 is the best avaible choice for Linux:
