Hello,

I have a Asus U3100 mini DVB-T USB stick, how can I install the Linux drivers (debian?) that I have downloaded from their site? I can use the VLC player to watch the TV chanels, but not without the driver.  Wink

hi,

if you use Pardus 2009.x you dont have to install drivers. DVBT drivers are included in the kernel.

you have to find the right firmware and copy it in /lib/firmware.

my favourite for looking DVBT is kaffeine. you have to install it if you are yousing Pardus 2009.X.

if you are using pardus 2008.X have a look on

No direct link because they use javascript to download the files.  Sad

Asus.com and then you go to Download
choose
Select Product "Multimedia"
Select Series "TV-Tuner"
Select Models "My Cinema-U3100Mini/DVBT
Then search and choose Linux as OS
Then VGA and the driver I downloaded was:
-------------------------------------------------------------
 Version 1.2

Description    USB linux driver for U3000 Mini DVBT and U3100 Mini DVBT
Only support ASUS U3000 Mini DVBT /U3100 Mini DVBT
--------------------------------------------------------------

Quote
That was the manual that came with the stick.
I tried to install the driver as was in the manual.

This was what happened:
R60-FV EeePC-TVDrv-U3000-1.2 # ./install_u3000
./install_u3000: line 3: dpkg: command not found

Thanks Bahri16,

I've got it working now. Like you said I needed the correct firmware, managed to find it with help of google.
Your suggestion of kaffeine was also a good one, it works better then VLC.
