program: lottanzb (including unrar)
website: http://www.lottanzb.org/
os: pardus 2011.x _32 and _64
os2: pardus kurumsal 2 _64

ad. sep 30: or is sabnzb an alternative? and is it available? Undecided

ad. okt 1: asked this same question on the german forum because they also provide sabnzb in their 32-repo.
will post any news on both requests, of course.

lottanzb is available now, so you might want to take a look here but it's giving me some troubles too, i've never encountered under ubuntu/gnome.
there it uses hellanzb as backend instead of lottanzbd, i believe? Huh?

some more information on being unable to use lottanzb (or sabnzbd for that matter)

lottanzb with hellanzb as backend, runs just fine on ubuntu 10.10 (but the latter won't run on my hpdv6-3185ed, and i want to stick with pardus, full stop Grin )

talking about ones own topic... Grin

on ubuntu/gnome lottanzb runs as front end for hellanzb, without any problems. looks to me that lottanzb just doesn't quite agree with sabnzbd (which runs stand alone as well)?
strange that they don't mention this information on their own website. Huh?

add. 12 okt: reading a bit further: sabnzb does agree with lottanzb... very much so... it even replaces hellanzb alltogether  Embarrassed
only thing left for me to do, is still to get it all to work.
