WINE in 2011 x64

Thanks WINE works fine in Ububtu x64 and Mint, I did attempt to compile from source but am missing some dependencies to complete a build

  Almost May now and still no Wine. I like my Pardus setup, but don't really use it much as sooner or later I have to reboot into Opensuse anyways - usually to run a Wine based program like Steam. Very disappointing.

I dont understand why they holding them back to be included in repo for 2011 version?

This ^^^^ bug report has NOTHING to do with Wine.

I think it belong to the wish list for Pardus 2011:

"From now on, I'll think to spend 1-2 hours of my spare time to these packages

Thats why I put a comment about Wine there. Can not hurt them if they get reminded of it. After all many have wait a very long time for Wine...

But maybe we should write a proper "top list" of applications we want in Pardus 2011?
We could mark those who was in 2009.2 and maybe mark new request with something else to.

Then we could send the list to that bug report when finish. If you limit it to around 30 programs they should have a sort of indication what people want.

Like this example:

1:Gyache Improved(new request)
2:Licq (was in 2009.2)

And so on. I guess you could look at older post wich programs are most popular or just make a new questionnaire, poll.

Its possible they are avaible. But are they in the official repo for 2011 yet so you could install them with the Pisi/software manager the normal way?
(I have no acess to Pardus 2011 at the moment so I can not see myself)

I have look at some list for popular programs:

You get a sort of indication what people want.
Wine for example are among the top in no:3.

And Yahoo messenger (Gyache Improved) are at no:7 in the softpedia list.

You are absolutely right about the number of packages in the official repos. It is the main issue for Pardus now.
But hey, it is increasing from day to day! Also there are unofficial repos, which are truely amazing!

PS: Wine is available for 32bit for a long time, that is also why I use 32bit instead of 64bit!

I see. I will re-install Pardus 2011 today. I have a 32 bits PC.
