I just looked at Wikipedia about Pardus:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pardus_%28operating_system%29

Not much info about 2011 version there. And I noticed that Pardus is based on Gentoo. But are that correct? I think they looked at Gentoo and other distributions at the beginning, but then created a own solution.

But maybe I have wrong about it.

Pardus USED to be based on Gentoo. If you click that link, you'll see that "Linux.com" says: Pardus originated in Turkey, was once based on Gentoo Linux, and is packaged with KDE.
