To remove the Pardus name beside the K menu, as root, open
/usr/kde/3.5/share/config/kickerrc with your favourite text editor and add the following lines at the end:
[KMenu]
ShowText=False
Save and exit.
To take effect without killing X, just restart kicker:
$ dcop kicker kicker restart (note: as normal user)
If you want to do something more with kicker, take a little time to read and understand
/usr/kde/3.5/share/config.kcfg/kickerSettings.kcfg and edit kickerrc as you want (backup first!).

The Pardus Configuration Center doesn't come with all the options from the official KDE Control Center. I hate the boucing busy cursor, but fortunately I've found the package tasma-extra in the repository. Just install it (< 200 KB) to enable the formerly missing options in TASMA, including Launch Feedback

And, Pardus team, congratulations! Fantastic OS!
