I read this comment in a Pardus review:

"Doesn’t seem to be a way to get it installed onto a USB drive that I can see.

MUCH about the PISI Package Manager (apparently it’s READILY visible and runnable from SOMEWHERE though I’ve yet to find it)

Tried: Search: Pisi = Run pisi – didn’t work

Looked for something obvious like “Package Manager” NOT there

Tried for example:

sudo apt-get update from the Terminal

Prompted for password

Which would be?Huh?

(Booted from CD)

Pardus 2011

So far, it’s a brief, frustrating experience.

I’m so far unimpressed and underwhelmed."

Have anyone here tryed the live DVD version if it act like that?

You can't use PiSi or install anything from the live DVD. He must use the install DVD if he wants to do that.

Even if the person was able to use a package installer to install software, it would only install it to RAM.  Once you log out or shut down - it would "poof" away.   Cheesy
