Some weeks ago, I downloaded and installed Pardus Elegant Ksplash   1.0  KDE 4.x Splash Screen from kde-look.org http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?action=content&content=126105&PHPSESSID=b9c884be42f8434c55ac7d5f6b7c806e Not being a Turkish speaker, I have wondered what "icinde Pardus var" means. Today I looked it up on several online translation pages. Several translated as "bug in there", which can't be correct because Pardus does not mean bug. One page translated it as "Pardus in there", which sounds more reasonable. Another translated it as "Pardus over there", which sounds possible, but less likely.

Can anyone translate this short phrase for me?

It's in the link you provided.  "─░├žinde Pardus Var!" (Pardus Inside)

Translators freaquently translate Pardus as "bug" and sometimes "gentoo". I don't know why.

I must be going blind in my old age! Thank you.

According to an old thread here  in the forum, Pardus was originally based loosely on Gentoo, but this basis was abandoned early on. Maybe there's a connection there somehow.
