http://xiphos.org/Workable instructions for running "theWord" in Wine on Pardus would be much appreciated.
This is the version that I use and it has all my notes, etc.. I would love to just transfer them.
This has been run by others in different Linux systems but it just disappears on me after the splash screen runs. Please help!

http://www.theword.net/For anyone searching for Bible software, I was able to get eSword to run in Wine on Pardus 2011.
eSword is an excellent and FREE Bible study program that equals or exceeds programs costing hundreds of dollars.
I had to copy a .dll file from Win system32 to wine system32 folder if I remember correctly before it would run right. (mfc42.dll) Below is my method of doing that.
Install "Wine" from Pardus package manager.
Then install "Winetricks" from the "non-official" repository in package manager,
http://worldforum.pardus-linux.nl/index.php?topic=3478.msg18496#msg18496In Winetricks choose "install a windows DLL or component"/OK.
Install the "vcrun6 - Visual C++ 6 sp4 libraries (this will download and install the needed mfc42.dll file)
Install eSword.
"eSword" homepage.
http://www.e-sword.net/run eSword from the Wine programs menu.
Also, to make the mouse-over pop-up work on the Strong's numbers in versions that use them I had to install a copy of msls31.dll to the eSword program folder. Winetricks has this but it did not download for me using Winetricks.
I got a copy of this .dll file online at
http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/M/msls31.dll/3.10.349.0/download.htmlMany thanks!
