I would like to record my voice with my external plug in mic, but I can't seem to find a program that will let me record my voice.  Is there something that came with the default install of 2011?

When I go to menu>multimedia>kmix click kmix, nothing opens. Is this where I would find a program for voice recording?

Maybe Audacity can be a option?

And I find more here:

Try to search in Pisi/software manager.
