And a Swedish review (translated with Google)
http://translate.google.se/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=sv&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fpavel.frimix.se%2F2010%2F10%2F05%2Ffocuswriter-den-perfekta-texteditorn%2F&act=url

I did a request for it:

Would be nice to have that in Pardus 2011. Smiley

Bug report says FocusWriter should be in the dev repositories.
I can't find it. Am I missing something.
I've been anxiously waiting to try this one out.
Anyone ever compared it to TextRoom found here
http://textroom.sourceforge.net/

thanks

Got it John.
It installed and is running without a hitch.
I've set up a custom theme that really is relaxing and free from distractions, ran through all the menus, changed the fonts, page colors, did some spell checking, formatting and pretty much exercised all the menus, and everything seems to be working fine on my 32 bit setup.
Stepping back and looking at things I think this is going to be a winner for writers needing to rid themselves of distractions. Very nice indeed.
Thanks for packaging this program and all your hard work!

I am really finding this program to be useful.
It sets a good writing mood without distractions.

I haven't been able to get the typewriter sounds to work but they would probably get turned off most of the time anyway. Everything else is working just fine though.

For those that would like to add a few themes to their new writer here is a nice collection I found.
http://blog.scrybr.com/category/focuswriter-themes

I almost never found where this program was installed at on my machine but it installed here.
home/usr/.local/share/focuswriter
Not sure I understand this yet but I'm sure I eventually will.

John A, I ran a copy of FocusWriter on my Win 7 and the sounds worked fine there.
Sounds also work with the portable Windows version running in Wine.
Any suggestions why they are not working on Pardus?
Not a big deal, I just like to know these things.
Pretty sure I've run this through all it paces and other than the sounds it works perfect.
Thanks

Are it in the stable repo now?
No. But it is in the testing and the devel repos.

Working fine when I have test it.
Not much that are missing in the official  Pardus repository now with this latest update.

So I will replace Ubuntu 11.04 in my home PC with Pardus 2011. Smiley

(I will not miss the Unity desktop)

JohnA, I opened FocusWriter today to do some work and my sounds are now working just fine.
Don't know for sure why they started working for me all of a sudden but it makes me happy.  Cheesy

The program is running very smooth and has a nice snappy response.
This is a really excellent program for writing!
I am enjoying using it very much.
I'm trying to figure out how to give FocusWriter a five-star rating in the package manager but i can't remember how to do that.

ps...glad you're finally able to replace Ubuntu with Pardus.
It's great having you around.  Smiley
