How can I get 3D-accell. for my ATI Radeon Xpress 200M card?
I'd like to have a 3D-desktop, but that won't do without 3D support.

When do I learn to first search, and then ask questions...
I found out that the answer is very simple. I just had to install the ati-driver package from the standard repo (it's under kernel-packages) and then give the command (as root):
Code:
aticonfig --initial
.
After that (and a reboot) the direct rendering is on, and I am ready for xgl, beryl and all those other 3D adventures  Tongue

Hi Gnodde,

Do you also have such a easy #d acc. for the ATI 9800Pro

I can't find a way to do it...

Hello there.

I was just wondering if any of you are able to have XGl on Pardus in order to run Beryl or Compiz... I have an ATI X1400 and running the fglrx (partly closed source driver from ATI -- Not possible to run any other driver with that model, x1400... Well, according to what I've tried...)

Thanks in advance!

There's no XGL package for Pardus. We use AIGLX. But it may be possible to install XGL by compiling from source...
