The Google translation is essentially useless.  They should stick to stealing user data and data-mining. To do the author justice, an adequate English translation should be provided.

The website of TDF is fairly straightforward.http://www.documentfoundation.org/

I note that one of the author's main objections seems to be groundless as of this date, as TDF offers downloads for Windows Mac PPC and Intel and Linux in 86_32 or_64 in RPM and Deb, but no generic tarball. 85% of the downloads are going to non-Linux OSs.
