MiniTube YouTube Player

[Freebird]

MiniTube is a player for Youtube videos.
It has a great search function to help locate videos on Youtube.

My install is on Pardus 2011 32bit.

It gives me an error message "Cannot find demultiplexer plugin for MRL."

Sound plays on many videos but no video.
Minitube worked beautifully on an earlier install of Pardus but I had other players installed.
Has anyone had this problem?
Any ideas for solving this?

That didn't work, SW.
Here is an attached screenshot. You can see the error message at the top of the program.
It is playing the sound just fine but the video will not process.
This is a clean install of Pardus and I have added very few new programs.
In an older install of Pardus, Minitubes worked great.

Seems either Xine/GStreamer is not correctly configurated or a dependency missing  

Is libplayer or xine-lib installed?
And what about phonon-xine and phonon-gstreamer?


I would suggest You to install the named dependencies step by step to see what package will bringe functionality to minitube.
After that You can add this information to the bugreport to solve this issue.

Libplayer was not installed.
Completed install of libplayer had no effect.
xine-lib was already installed.

phonon

The above were already installed.

gst-plugins-ugly
gst-plugins-base
gst-plugins-good
All of these were already installed as well.

Mplayer is also installed.
VLC is installed.

Geez....I don't understand it!
I ran the re-install from the package manager and kept getting the same results. Some videos ran sound but no video as my post above. many didn't even do that.
 But, when I ran the reinstall in the konsole as Altoboo suggested it started working.
I have spent a lot of time trying to figure this out because I knew it had worked on a previous install so I believed the package to be good. I really didn't want to have others waste any time on it until I was certain there was no problem on my end.
I was still trying different configurations to make it work when I found your post.
I don't know what to say but it's working now and i am very grateful for all the help.
If you search Pardus 2011 in Minitubes the first video that comes up still gives me the error message and will not play but the second one takes off does well. So do most of the others but not all of them. This I will assume to be a different problem. i know some youtube files are in a different format from others.

With this command the already present files of the package are replaced by the files of a new download.
The "-y" option is to avoid confirmation questions and "it" stands for install.
To get more help do "pisi help" and "pisi help it" etc....

 Altoboo, I'm making notes of this. It is quite helpful.
I like to do everything I can before I bother others for help.

SW, I would have thought the same thing.
I used package manager to uninstall, then rebooted and used package manager to reinstall.
Same results more than once.
It was very helpful for you to do an install and confirm that it did work on your system because I knew it had worked on an earlier install for me but they did do an upgrade in the meanwhile, I think.
The only thing I can think of is that at one point I had other repositories installed besides the "stable" repository.
I honestly cannot say for certain if  that were the case at the time of my earlier installs or not.
At some point I decided to remove the other repositories because I am trying hard to keep this install as clean as possible.
I use Minitube quite often and it's just good to have it working again.
