I am trying to build unetbootin-549 just for practice purpose.. It may be already there in repo..But I just downloaded Source file and tried to create a PiSi file using PiSiYap. When I give pisi bi , I am always getting the "error workdir   /var/pisi/unetbootin_549-549-1/work/unetbootin_549 does not exist"

I tried to create a dir manually by using mkdir -p in the path above as root

But on build , the dir gets deleted and the same error appears

Pl help

don't know much about building packages myself but does this perhaps help you:
http://en.pardus-wiki.org/Pisi_Package

the only thing i can think of myself is using sudo when creating a workdir?
but you probably already know that...

unetbootin-source-549.tar.gz archive hasn't contained unetbootin_549 directory, so try add to actions.py:
Code:
WorkDir = '.'

When the archive does not contain any directory, you need to use
Code:
WorkDir = "."

And also at >pardususer.de/Community Depot/pisi-howto/<.

And build files (also Unetbootin) at >pardususer.de/Community Depot/build-files/<. Wink

Thanks Palius, SW and atolboo

I can really get to check and see where I am missing from the already built files

I think I am choosing the wrong option in Actions.py (PisiYap) ..There are multiple tools like Autotools,CMaketools,Qt4tools etc..

I read the unetbootin page and it is mentioned that Qt4 tools were being used , so I chose that option...But looking at the build , there is mention of Shell tools....

As I am from non programming background , I am finding this part to be difficult!

The same is also valid for me  Grin (as a retired hardware designer from Philips Telecommunicatie Industrie/ (Alcatel &) Lucent Technologies)

..... I am finding this part to be difficult!
My advice: Keep on

Thanks atolboo! That's a nice smiley you have sent "keep working"!

I thought you were a hardcore programmer as for many years you are so actively involved in the forum and guiding newbies like me!

No, I am not.
I only have some experience with C coded test software for printed circuit board(s) with embedded processors.

About Qt4 tools you have a read here
and have a look to my actions.py where I've used qt4 from pisi.actionsapi where it's possible.
