I believe there is no reason to worry. Pardus uses kernel 2.6.37.x. According to Phoronix energy usage problems began in the kernel 2.6.38.

If the updates will come a new kernel, for example, 06/02/38 or 29, or 3.0

Then you need to look at the situation and to compare the energy consumption.

On the other hand the kernel 37 does not BKL-free.
