Hmm. even though mlocate is listed as being in the repo:

http://packages.pardus.org.tr/info/2011/testing/binaries.html

pisi does not find it.

Does anyone else have it or is able to install it in their 2011.1 install?

I need this because I don't like the built in indexing tool and Dolphin's find function is badly crippled compared to the one in P2009.2.

mlocate is in testing depot and will hit stable after some testing time.

Oh, right. Thanks for the information. Strange that they left P2011.1 without any version of locate at all. It's not exactly a new program.

Maybe it's a matter of human resources.
And if you can't wait: goto http://packages.pardus.org.tr/pardus/2011/testing/ (i686 or x86_64) and from there you can install it by selecting the appropriate package.
This as easy as life can be at this moment Wink

Thanks a lot. Got it installed but updatedb -U doesn't work, says it requires an argument but I don't know what to put. Any ideas?
