Security in Firefox!

please do read this post from atolboo regarding false security certificates in firefox other then version 6.0.2 (and that's practically in every pardus' firefox version).
just follow the easy instructions to remove the false certificate as described in the link in his post.

That's one of the reasons I use Chromium, it's the better choice when it comes to open source web browsers. IMO

As far as  know, security is not a valid reason for this ^^^ choice.
The problem is caused by the package

which is responsible for the Diginotar  and other  certificates.

another update:
firefox 6.0.2, installed from the devel repo on 2011.2_32 us, is still running just fine. i even could install most of the add-ons/extensions i usually use.

impressive job from all those involved!

install the available updates, and you should be fine for now.

p.s. ff5 will be updated to ff6.02, ff7 seems to be on its way (newest is not always best/safest  )
