Thinking of learning SQL but the video course I've got gives setup instructions for Windows/Mac users. 'Localhost' seems to be where things start but even though mysql is installed, it's not working.

In the Windows version, there's a front-end utility called SID (http://localhost/SID/sid.php), which is what I'd like to end up with. This enables you to manipulate/query tables without using the command prompt facility.

Can someone tell me the procedure for getting up and running.
