Why do you put  in this topic
You link was also in >this post<
Because http://translate.google.com/ does a terrible job in translating TR > EN/DE/NL , it only adds to the confusion.
And long as we don't get an official information from Pardus-TR this only adds to the rumors and is not good idea.

It was Trixon who start this thread at page 1 with the title "Pardus end of life".

The rumours around Pardus will continue anyway regardless if we take it up here or not.
And it's up Tubitak to put a end of thoose.
The worst thing they can do are just to be quiet.

But I agree we could stop now.
I will not write anything more at this subject.

and if one really wants, maybe you should post here or here or send an e-mail to the organization responsible for pardus?

p.s. how reliable is google when it comes to giving unbiased information about open source projects other then their own precious chromium...

I just noticed that some updates in testing.
So it might come to life. Smiley
Personally, I really like and depend on information. For me it has been a downward spiral with Pardus.
I do understand and respect their priorities, goals and way of doing things. It has been good for me too since 2007.

Im watching PLSA, mailing list and web site, http://security.pardus.org.tr/.

Quote from: Pardus Linux Security
Security is a primary concern for Pardus Linux. Pardus Security team tracks security
vulnerabilities from a huge amount of resources including OSS projects, security related news groups and e-mail lists, and end-users.

Our focus is to ensure the confidentiality and security of Pardus Linux,
thus we effort to give the quickest response while keeping the system stable.

The latest information from PLSA is from early September, thats just too old for me.

So, I have started to explore other options for my servers. I just can't wait that long for information.
But so far, Pardus is up and running.

This link is contains some hopeful information about from TUBITAK. @Enki spoke with new head manager of Pardus.
He said that Project ending is out of the question and striving to become more widespread, sustainable and better Pardus.
They will do official announcment about future plans soon.

Yes, very hopeful.

Bu we knows that TUBITAK is under great reform operation from new Ministry of Sicence, Ind. and Tech. and a lot of developer leave the project, moreover repository commits are dramatically low.

There is any information about Pardus 2011 updates and next roadmap. Because all developers (also resigned) have confidentiality agreement with TUBITAK and they cannot speak. You know if there isn't information, there is rumour. Some people think Pardus 2000 series is discontinued.

Finnaly, project will be continue but how? we don't know now. Everybody is waiting official announcments...

Thanks, I'm Turkish and Pardus user since 2007.
Turkish is very different than English, that's a big problem for Google translate, so it's talking nonsense on Turkish.
Like my English Smiley I cannot use English clearly,

This blog, as far as Google Translate enables me to understand it, also confirms that the Pardus Project will continue, however that the exact direction(s) in which it will continue are still unclear. Based on Google Translate I get the impression that rather the Corporate instead of the 2011 version will be discontinued as separate version, but concluding from Google Translations of turkish may be tricky.
There is one reply to this blogposting that also demands a quick briefing and communication by the Project holders what the future plans will be in order to prevent Pardus users leaving Pardus in the meantime because of uncertainty.
