But there are rumours around, and maybe just someone of the Pardus developers can explain what really is going on.

Pardus is a unique distro, and stopping it is not a good thing, so i think and already say that 2012 will be the year of the Pardus.
We all need put energy in it to get it more populair.

Interesting news continue coming from TUBITAK!

Erkan Tekman, Project Manager of Pardus, has resigned from his job and from TUBITAK! He was the project manager since the beginning of the project!

Also another developer who was insistent to continue with the project, Ozan Caglayan was assigned to other projects of TUBITAK. It means another developer has left the project!

Here is the chronology of developments as far as I have followed;
Nov 2nd; "4 developers have left the project for different reasons, no new recruits coming" says Erkan Tekman.

Nov 28th; Koray Loker (community coordinator and developer) quits.

Turkish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ural%E2%80%93Altaic_languages) & English (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-European_languages) do not belong to the same language family, they are a lot different from each other. So you should not expect anything better soon

Yes, there are people who blame Erkan Tekman for 6 years of Pardus with limited progress. They believe Pardus would do better without him.

But there are also people who say Erkan Tekman was the one to defend Pardus and kept it alive against the harsh opposition on the government (official) side! They say Pardus would already be forgotten without him!

I honestly do not know which is true. But I know we need to wait and see. Change is good, hope the change brings a fresh start!
