Got a once-bootable Windows Vista hard drive containing tons of data that I need to connect to a Pardus machine. Haven't tried anything yet but is there a procedure I need to go through to see a Windows drive from within Pardus? Any Pardus applications to do this?

I use "Disk-Manager " to mount a variety of differing partitions, at one time or another , ntfs , fat32 , ext4 , lvm. You can get it throught the Pardus package manager.

When I try to install DiskManager, I get: "Repo item disk-manager not found"

This is a brand new install.

The official link: http://packages.pardus.org.tr/pardus/2011/stable/i686/pisi-index.xml.xz gives:

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: http://packages.pardus.org.tr/pardus/2011/stable/i686/pisi-index.xml.xz
Line Number 1, Column 1:

The one that does work: PardusLife http://parduslife-repo.no-ip.org/p2011/i686/pisi-index.xml.xz

Requires it to be opened. I don't know how to do this.

This is a brand new install.
What is the result of
Code:
pisi lr
and
Code:
pisi info disk-manager

And have look in:
System Settings > Hardware > Disk manager
System Settings > System Administration > Partition Manager

'pisi lr' and 'pisi info disk-manager' mentioned that updates are needed. Makes sense after a new install.

Ran updates and all is now well. Windows drive recognised and data transferred.

Thanks for that.
