..... I will have a look at it.
From From Bug 18659 Comment 8 - IDJC missing in 2011 repositories date 2011-07-29

... but till the new libshout package hits the repos, you won't be able to satisfy the dependencies.
This ^^^ is <Dependency releaseFrom="7">libshout-devel</Dependency> (in pspec.xml)
And in the stable repo I find libshout-devel-2.2.2-7-p11-i686.pisi  19-Sep-2011
This means the change is not needed anymore to buid <Version>0.8.5</Version> <Update release="16">

But make sure libtheora-devel package is installed on your system.
If this ^^^ is valid for building the package, it should be in the
Code:
       <BuildDependencies>
            <Dependency>packagename</Dependency>
        </BuildDependencies>
section.
And if this ^^^ is valid for installing and using the package, it should be in the
Code:
       <RuntimeDependencies>
            <Dependency>packagename</Dependency>
        </RuntimeDependencies>
section.
This is the way how the various dependencies in PiSi are defined.
(the RuntimeDependencies will also be installed at installation)
Investigation continues...

Don't know whtether this might help you but when I start my idjc from Konsole I also get error messages but nevertheless an (at first sight) fully functional GUI from IDJC starting up.

Can you make any sense of this atolboo?
In my GUI playing MP3 files works just fine, haven't tested streaming.

My hardware problems regarding the jack server are solved .
More on the background of this problem later in the next post.
Here it is....
But first a correction:
Problem solved after changing sound setting in my bios.
This ^^^ is not true.
The problem is caused by
atolboo@pardus2011 ~ $ lspci | grep Audio
01:00.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation GF108 High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1)
^^^ + the proprietary (=nvidia-current) driver.
This nVidia GF108 is fitted on the Asus GeForce GT440 DC SILENT,1GB
After switching to the open source driver  in System Settings > Display and Monitor > Video Driver the problem is gone.
The Asus ENGT520 SL/DI/512MD3(LP), equipped with
Quote
01:00.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1)
+ proprietary driver is not having this problem.

..... can now begin with ..... idjc-0.8.7.pisi
Result so far:
Quote
.
In file included from xlplayer.c:36:0:
avcodecdecode.h:32:28: fatal error: libavutil/dict.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
And this dict.h should be part of ffmpeg-devel.
The current version (also in devel) has
Quote
atolboo@pardus2011 ~ $ pisi info ffmpeg-devel -f | grep include/libavutil -c
29
.h files and dict.h isn't one of them.
Maybe after creating the latest ffmpeg(-devel) from source, I can continue with idjc-0.8.7

Idjc-0.8.7 is now available (also as update)
Together with the latest ffmpeg and x264 as required dependencies.
