I have not in my menu.lst a entry for emergency mode. Have you an Item like this? Can you post your boot/grub/menu.lst? TY.

What do you mean by emergency mode Huh?
Or what should this mode do.

And Grub of Pardus has the options:
1. F3 Boot and select Failsafe
2. F4 Graphical Display and select Failsafe.

or by typing "single " at the boot screen command line , you will have single user with root access......

I mean Failsafe. But in my dama dama I have F3 for boot and F4 for Graphical Dispaly. I have not failsafe.
Maybe i have a problem with the keyboard at boot time, i have disable USB legacy mode in my BIOS and I have a usb keyboard.
