Hi altoboo,

I create and test the buildfiles for the new devede, can you cook this and place
it in the pardususer.de repo?

Thx already

Did you also test a DVD, created with the new devede, in a real DVD player?
And was Bug 19325 - No sound in DVD made with DeVeDe and also especially Comment 4 solved ?

Nope .. did not do that, but devede changed the backend to ffmpeg so maybe that fixed
the problem. But can try it tonight Smiley

As I don't have access to a real DVD player at this moment to test this myself, I will wait for your result.

In a dvd player i got sound Smiley

But the blackscreen you talk about is still there ... only if you switch to an other
menu title you see the background the way it should be ..

Conclusion:
Sound ok, Menu Title not totaly ok

Looks like this is the solution Smiley:

Quote
My problem was solved by following colin-m 's advice in the parallel thread: 'DeVeDe menu problem' . As adviced, unselecting the 'Use FFMEG instead of Mencoder' in the DeVeDe programs preferences menu, brought back visible DVD menu items and my edited subtitles.

Thanks, colin-m

No, I never trust forum posts.
I always want to hear the result from first hand.
Otherwise the package doesn't belong in pardususer.de repo.
I am doing my best to maintain a certain standard in pardususer.de repo Wink

You are right, never trust forums .. or maybe never trust Ubuntu forums Wink

But it not works, still black image in the menu Sad
And two DVD's in the garbage Sad

So now we gonna use bombono-dvd Smiley

Or maybe is kmediafactory an option?
http://code.google.com/p/kmediafactory/

I search the internet a little more, and maybe a new version of ffmpeg can fix it.
Can you cook this?

Right now my main computer is reorganizing the partitions on the HDD.
This is to get more space to increase my swap pace as I got "can not allocate enough memory" while trying to build the new chromium-browser last night.
And this is a major operation which, according to GParted, is still "14:07:15 remaining" at this moment Wink
And this can't be interrupted.
