Instruction to test Anka, by Yoyo (http://parduslife.com/2012/05/21/pardus-2012-anka-el-trabajo-de-la-comunidad-pardusera-listo-para-probar)

- It is not advisable install in a production environment
- It is ideal in a virtual machine or in a separate partition on a new installation of Pardus 2011.2
- For now only available for 64-bit Pardus

NOTE: Before you start the whole process you must uninstall all three packages virtualbox that come installed by default in Pardus:

Code:
sudo pisi remove module-virtualbox-guest
Code:
sudo pisi remove module-virtualbox-guest-userspace
Code:
sudo pisi remove virtualbox-guest-utils

Once we are in Pardus 2011.2 first disable any repository, including the official:

Code:
sudo pisi dr pardus

Add the ANKA repository:

Code:
sudo pisi ar anka http://paketler.pardus-linux.org/pardus/2012/testing/x86_64/pisi-index.xml.xz

Refresh the list of packages:

Code:
sudo pisi ur

And proceed to the full system update:

Code:
sudo pisi up

Just a quick heads-up that module-virtualbox-guest and module-virtualbox-guest-userspace are now compatible with the current kernel. virtualbox-guest-utils has yet to catch up and depends on an earlier version of the modules.

I think (but I'm not sure) all three are needed to get resolution greater than 1024x768 -- certainly going to full-screen on the original install worked as it ought, while now it stays as a 1024x768 box in the middle of the monitor.

I need to cross-check to see exactly which X driver is in use.

Thanks pantera, that means today you get the stick or repo media and probably upload the server.

Tomorrow server could be OK and ready for download and test the repo. I hope I am not wrong Smiley

Good luck to anyone who takes on the responsibility of ANKA.

I heard that 32 Bit package uploading to server operation  was already started.

By the evening, it is supposed to be done. (I hope so)

Then me or someone else will give info about the progress and news.

Thank you.
