Hello everybody,

A community member is an artist and he create a beautiful
logo. How everybody think about this?

Why I love it is because it still gives the connection to the old Pardus, so that Anka arise
from Pardus.

In my opinion we need a logo, so we can communicate with the world.

There are other logos in this link.

The community did not decide for one of them yet. If you are interested and good at artwork, please publish some logos in Öi or here. And we can discuss.

I think it would be better not to use Pardus logo because of license problems.

I like it for the same reason. But:
http://www.ozgurlukicin.org/forum/tema/24672/?page=5#post166253
I think it would be better not to use Pardus logo because of license problems.
I had the same thought. If it can be guaranteed that this will never become a problem, I would vote for this one. Otherwise we better have one without the leopard head. or at least one that is not so near to the original.

In my opinion we need a logo, so we can communicate with the world.
Fully agreed!

We have some great imagination so I think we can come up with something ourselves.  I think people will still know we had our beginnings with Pardus and its Leapord, so if we use something else, it will soon catch on, if we create a distro people want to use, the logo will follow.

I found some very graphic striking wildlife by doing searches of flora and fauna of Turkiye.  The colour patterns would be good in transferring to a graphic design, and too bad I am not a graphics designer.  But, here are some suggestions too, if one wants something different than a leopard, or the Phoenix image.

The karakulak or caracal caracal

Some excellent photos taken by Ahmet Karataş.  The Upupa epops (ibibik), the Circus cyaneus (Gökçe Delice). the Otus scops - (İshakkuşu owl)

I would go with a Falcon, too, but that might be confused with the Kurdistan Freedom Fighters group.  But, Falcons and Eagles look very eye-catching too.

But I can go with whatever the majority wants.

My general remarks:
A logo should be simple with not too many graphical features in them.
Too wild logo's do not work.
I don't know whether the Erick-Logo contains author protected images.
That are maters beyond my knowledge.
And for the rest it's a matter of taste.
At first sight the Erick Akyüz-Logo does fulfill the basic requirements.

What about a simple letter? Like A (Anka) or P (Pardus)? Ubuntu is using something similar for Unity. I uploaded a VERY rough image. I took 2 minutes to make it, so don't hate!

I am just an end-user, but I think that maybe folks like us can contribute, and in the end take some ownership for the progress of this project.

Everybody should be encouraged to contribute - and, as you say - take some ownership for the progress of this project.
