Hi there,

Does Pardus have built-in software to built a website or do I need to download and install an additional application?

Thanks!

It depends. If you are going to code the website by hand you could do that with a texteditor (already available). If you are going to use php eg, you'll need php and apache. If you like wysiwyg, you'll need something like nvu.

I do all my html and php coding with kate, and I like it very much.

Hey,

There is a kde software package that's especially being made for webdesign. Just install the kdewebdev package. It will install quanta plus which has wysiwyg support and good coding support (syntax highlighting and great code-completion that is somehow quite intelligent). It also has php support and supports php debugging.

Another package you could try is eclipse and the phpclipse plugin. But that could also be overkill.

Regards,

Ben

ps. You can find more about quanta here:
