Hi,
I have just installed Pardus on my Toshiba Satellite A30 notebook. It is a fine linux distribution. First, it could not see the sound card, but I could cope with it by the means of alsaconf. Now, it can play audio cds, but if I want to play mp3 files from the CD, the program Amarok just hangs. Do you have any idea what it could be?
Thanks...

Does it have to do something with some codecs that should be installed separately?

No, all codecs are installed by default.
But I can't give a solution to your problem. On my laptop and my desktop all mp3's play using Amarok or Kaffeine.

Thanks for the answer! Can it be a problem with the sound card driver? Is there an alternative to alsaconf for example?
