Used PiSi to install Skype.
When using the test call facility I could here the voice of the operator but not my recording.
Not even after I disabled the firewall during the test.
Sound card is detected and in working order.
Microphone enabled I can here the sound through the headphone.
I tried several combinations on the sound card with the plugs.
Did I forgot to activated a service :?:
Also no recorded sound using Krec.

Sound card Trust 514DX 5.1 Sound Expert Optical

in pardus 2007 i worked with skype and the firewall was no problem.

did you enabled the wave (pcm)? you must put the level of wave high.

if it is a on bord soundcard i think you are lost. with linux my expirience is that the microphon is very quietly. you have to bring the microhpn close to your mouth.  there is a place where you can enable mic. boost.

Yes pcm was/is enabled. This is not a on board but a PCI Card.
The on board card is an option I can try when everything fails.
About the microphone quality I can hear myself breath.
If everything fails. I can scare myself at night. LOL.

Solved :!:     had to switch on red led to record. I assumed that the green led meant on line, red led meant off line.

Thanx Bahri16 for the good work and also for the hint about douplex.
Nothing as annoying as echo in a conversation.
