Hello everyone!
I have been using Pardus 2007.1 on my home computers for the last two weeks and have been thoroughly impressed by its performance. I installed Pardus on one of my computers at work today, but was unable to connect to the internet through our proxy server because I was unable to enter my internet username and pasword into the Tasma configuration for the proxy. I was able to select "manual configuration" and enter the necessary addresses and port numbers, but the default setting for username and password was "promt as needed" and I could not select the area to enter the required information. I tried to open Tasma from the command line of an su terminal (thinking that I would gain root privs by doing so), but the required feilds were still unavailable. The network manager icon in the system tray shows the green checkmark and I get an IP address when I open the network manager, but I cannot connect to the internet to donload packages or check email or get on to the internet. Thanks for any suggestions!
